It’s almost the end of 2024. And you know what that means??!! It means that it’s time to start planning out your 2025-2026 events.
As I shared with you in my trends and predictions email a few days ago - the 2025 retreat season is expected to be one of the biggest (and the best) EVER.
And yesterday I talked about the ‘mindset of growth’ that is needed to make your retreats truly profitable.

Yesterday, I shared all about the growth mindset that was needed to sell 15 retreat spots in under 2 days and make $15,000 in retreat profit…
As a recap, for those who may have missed it… In order to grow your business you have to grow your mind. You have to take risks, believe your success is inevitable, and continue to take proven, strategic action (even if it scares you) to get the results that you want.
And since we covered the mindset that is needed already, today I want to dive into the sales and marketing strategy that I use to sell-out five figure retreats.
So, what are the steps to creating and selling 15 retreat spots (or more) in 2 days?
This is something that I’ve been testing and perfecting for the last 8 years. And I’m giving it to you for absolutely free!!

#1 - I Listened to My Audience: By conducting target market polling and research, I knew that my audience was asking me for a specific retreat. I pitched the idea to them and they said they wanted it. That was enough for me to get to work.
#2 - I Created a Retreat That They Wanted: Instead of thinking about 'me' and what I wanted to do, I asked my audience what they would want to be included in an offer for them. I had so many people asking me for this offer that I decided to put it together!
#3 - I Started A Waiting List: After speaking to them and listening to their excitement, I knew I needed to leverage that as soon as I could. So I created a waiting list landing page and sent it out to a select email list of excited leads.
#4 - I Created Excitement and Hype: While I was negotiating the contracts and finalizing details with the venue and working out my registration systems, I made sure that everyone on the waitlist knew it would be coming soon. I told them what I was working on and when they could expect the doors to open.
#5 - I Opened the Doors and Incentivized Pre-Sale: Once I finalized the logistics I knew that people would be ready to buy! So I opened the doors to my waitlist only. I incentivized them to take early action and created urgency my marketing. Thanks to that I enrolled 8 people in 2 hours!!
#6 - Once Pre-Sale Ended I Announced Live and Created More Hype: I reached out personally to anyone who had expressed interest and made sure they knew it was happening. I enrolled 4 more people in the next 2 days.
I then went on to enroll another 3 people that week for a different retreat, using the same strategies, which equaled 15 retreat enrollments in just 2 days!
And the cherry on top - in February, I went on to do this same strategy again and I enrolled 19 retreat students in my pre-sale! Before I even started public promotion!
The best part?? I do all of this with a small mailing list and NO social media.
In fact, it wasn’t until the past few years that I started using social and paid ads…and to be honest, most of my retreats sell without using these more ‘advanced’ strategies.
